Dr.
Hisham Al-Haidari
Dr. Hisham Al-Haidari has held the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Authority of People with Disability (APD) since its establishment. He leads the APD's efforts to fulfill its mission and achieve its objectives in alignment with the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, as well as the aspirations of individuals with disabilities to empower them and enhance their participation in all aspects of life. Under his leadership, the APD has achieved several significant milestones, including the issuance of the Royal Decree approving the Law of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the updating of the National Disability Strategy, the creation of the National Disability Registry, and the launch of several key initiatives such as the Purple Saturday Initiative. These efforts have contributed to improving the quality of services provided to individuals with disabilities, addressing their needs in areas such as education, training, employment, healthcare, housing, transportation, entertainment, sports, research, and all other aspects of life, with the aim of fulfilling their aspirations and establishing an inclusive, accessible, and equitable society.
