As part of its continuous efforts to enhance the work environment, the Authority of People with Disability (APD) obtained the "Best Work Environment" award for 2023 from the Great Place to Work Institute, an international organization that evaluates different work environments. This win was primarily attributable to the ongoing efforts to provide a working environment that fosters excellence, innovation, and creativity as well as contributes to enhancing employee performance.

The survey included a questionnaire regarding employee satisfaction with the leadership team, the promotion of a culture of participation and collaboration among employees, as well as employee opinions regarding job benefits. The award is a result of the APD's interest in the development of national cadres and its desire to create a distinctive, encouraging, and empowering work environment that provides its employees, both male and female, with confidence, creativity, and opportunities for growth.

Eligibility to receive such an award requires meeting certain criteria regarding leadership, social responsibility, the workplace and procedures, employee participation, collaboration, compensation and benefits, and human resource policies. These questionnaires are distributed to employees to assess their organizational pride, level of participation in decision-making, and other factors that contribute to an optimal work environment.

Notably, the APD seeks to serve as an umbrella for all matters pertaining to people with disabilities, granting them full rights, empowering them, and enhancing the services provided to them. In addition, increasing the level of prevention by organizing efforts, building an integrated institutional ecosystem to remove barriers faced by people with disabilities, providing the necessary means of prevention, care, and rehabilitation, enhancing their independence, and empowering them through education.
