The Authority of Persons with Disabilities organized the graduation ceremony for the second cohort of the “Qimam for Leadership Empowerment” Program, in the presence of representatives from the government, private, and nonprofit sectors, and with the participation of a number of persons with disabilities. This comes as part of the Authority’s efforts to promote the leadership empowerment of persons with disabilities and strengthen their participation across various fields of development. The program is one of the Authority’s initiatives aimed at developing the leadership capabilities of persons with disabilities through an integrated training program, in partnership with the Institute of Public Administration, sponsored by stc Group, and implemented by Qaderoon Network for Employment of Persons with Disabilities. The program focused on developing leadership skills, enhancing confidence, building decision-making capabilities, and providing opportunities to exchange experiences in work environments. It also included a number of open meetings with ministers and senior officials, which enriched the participants’ experience and enhanced their leadership knowledge through the sharing of expertise and practical experiences. The ceremony featured a presentation of the program’s key outcomes and the honoring of 60 graduates. The Authority affirmed that the “Qimam for Leadership Empowerment” Program is one of its distinguished initiatives that contributes to supporting the empowerment of persons with disabilities and strengthening their presence in national development pathways, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to empower persons with disabilities in the labor market and society. It is worth noting that the Authority of Persons with Disabilities works to enhance the quality of services provided, promote integration and cooperation with various sectors, and achieve an inclusive, integrated society with equal opportunities.
