The Saudi Chambers of Commerce aim to strengthen cooperation in empowering persons with disabilities and improving their supportive business environment. Areas of cooperation include applying accessibility standards in both physical and non-physical environments, supporting employment through coordination with relevant entities, adapting private-sector facilities, and increasing investment in projects dedicated to persons with disabilities. The memorandum also covers reviewing relevant policies and regulations, implementing targeted initiatives that promote inclusion and integration, collaborating on events, and leveraging investment opportunities within national committees and investment councils to boost investments related to disability-related products and services. The memorandum was signed by Dr. Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Heidari, CEO of the Authority of Persons with Disabilities, and Mr. Waleed bin Hamad Al-Arinan, Secretary-General of the Saudi Chambers of Commerce. It is noteworthy that the Authority of Persons with Disabilities has signed several memorandums of understanding and cooperation with various sectors to empower persons with disabilities, enhance their participation, and advance integrated services toward an inclusive society with equal opportunities.
